MR. C. D. CARTER AND MISS LOMBARDINI The marriage took place on Saturday, at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, of Mr. Cecil Denis Carter, second son of Mrs. Carter, of Chulsa, Sydenham, and Miss Pauline Mary Lombardini, of 12, Edwardes-square, Kensington. The Rev. W. P. G. McCormick, vicar of St. Martin’s, assisted by the Rev. Hudson Shaw, rector of St. Botolph’s, Bishopsgate, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a long dress of soft satin crepe embroidered with pearls, and a train of the same material. Her veil of tulle was held in place by a headdress of silver and orange blossom. She was attended by four bridesmaids, Miss Jess Clutterbuck, Miss Mary Busby, Miss K. Garnham, and Miss Mary Craven, who were dressed in beige lace and hats of Crimson velvet and carried bouquets of deep crimson roses. The best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Mr Wilfred Carter. A reception was held at the Hyde Park Hotel, and among the guests were :- The bride’s going away dress was of blue panne velvet with coat of the same material and hat to match. The honeymoon is being spent on the Continent. |
