“THE PEOPLE†The Press Association understands that negotiations are in progress for the sale of The People, the weekly newspaper, to a syndicate, and that the transfer will probably be completed at the end of the present month. The negotiations are being conducted by a syndicate, headed by a well-known Conservative M.P. Sir William Madge, who started the paper in 1881, is retiring. |
